Sclareolide
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
A novel lactone produced from sclareol through fermentation or
chemical oxidation and subsequent purification.
PROPERTIES:
Sclareolide is a white to off-white solid with virtually no odor.
As supplied, Sclareolide has a minimum purity of 95%. Its melting
range is between 120° and 125° C. One gram of Sclareolide
will form a clear solution when mixed with 30 ml of either 95%
ethyl alcohol or diethyl phthalate.
PACKAGING:
Packed in five-gallon resin-lined pails, 55-gallon fiber drums,
or 55-gallon steel drums labeled according to purchaser’s
specification.
HANDLING & STORAGE:
Store in tightly closed containers.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Contact the Avoca Division should you have any special packaging
or activity level requirements.
ADDITIVES:
No additives are present.
